Dr. Mona Dmaidi

Dr. Mona Nabil Demaidi is a distinguished expert in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technology entrepreneurship. She holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Manchester and Birmingham City University, a Master’s in Advanced Software Engineering and Data Management from the University of Manchester, and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from An-Najah National University.
Dr. Demaidi currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Digital Sciences at the Arab American University and the Chairwoman of Intersect Innovation Hub, where she drives innovation and entrepreneurship. She is also the Co-Founder and Director of PALMEC International (STEMpire), offering technology consultancy and training programs for private and public sectors. Her leadership has been instrumental in national and international initiatives, including the development of Palestine’s Artificial Intelligence National Strategy, approved by the Palestinian Cabinet in 2023, and AI bootcamps focusing on climate and digital transformation.
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Demaidi has held numerous roles, including Assistant Professor at An-Najah National University, a leader in IEEE Palestine, and a contributor to global conferences such as the World Economic Forum, LEAP Conference, and the International Conference on Entrepreneurship. She has also worked with UNESCO, ESCWA, and USAID on projects related to AI ethics, national AI strategies, and cloud computing.
Dr. Demaidi’s contributions have earned her significant recognition, including being named the Most Influential Woman in Palestine by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and winning the Most Impactful Idea Award at the Stanford Idea to Market Program. Her work in AI, entrepreneurship, and empowering women in technology continues to make her a pioneer in the field, both regionally and internationally.
