Dr. Islam Amro is an academic and IT professional specializing in cybersecurity, digital transformation, and advanced technology applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, an M.Eng. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Al-Quds University, and a B.Eng. in Computer Systems Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University.
Dr. Amro currently serves as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and has held key leadership roles, including University President Assistant for ICT and Media Production, Director of Al-Quds Educational Satellite Channel, and General Supervisor of e-Learning at Al-Quds Open University. His work has included implementing state-level encryption solutions, training cybersecurity teams, and developing advanced e-learning platforms.
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Amro has contributed to national projects such as the establishment of an educational satellite channel and the development of e-learning regulations. Internationally, he has collaborated with UNESCO and UNDP on education and technology initiatives. A prolific researcher, he has published extensively in cybersecurity, speech compression, and network systems and is certified in NIST, ISO 27000, and COBIT frameworks.
