Dr. Maysoun Ibrahim is the founding President of the Palestinian Syndicate for Information Sciences and Technology (PALIST) and a seasoned professional in ICT for Development, having worked across government, academia, and the private sector. She has led key governmental digital transformation projects, contributed to national ICT strategies, and serves on several high-profile boards, including the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence in Palestine and the Management Board of EMUNI University in Slovenia.
Holding a PhD focused on Smart Sustainable Cities, Dr. Ibrahim has published widely, including the book Smart Sustainable Cities: Transformation towards Future Cities. She is active as a consultant for UN-ESCWA on emerging technologies, digital solutions for urban resilience, and women’s empowerment, and has judged prominent competitions such as the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Award. Her work emphasizes innovation, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and fostering gender equality in technology.
