Dr. Ashraf Abdelhadi holds a Ph.D. in Information Science & Technology, dual master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and IT (M.Sc.), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, with over 26 years of experience in the ICT sector. His expertise encompasses managerial roles, project management, information security, higher education, TVET, applications development, e-services, data management, data science, big data, SIS, BI, and digital transformation. Currently, he serves as the Director of the National Digital Transformation Center at the Arab American University. Over the past decades, he has successfully led and implemented large-scale ICT projects for the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research and the Ministry of Telecom and IT in Palestine, as well as for the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) and five government institutes in the UAE. He holds several prestigious certifications, including Big Data (UNESCO), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified Training Professional (CTP), and certifications in Qlik Sense, Microsoft SQL Server, and data warehousing. He has also participated in numerous key international conferences, such as EENA 2023 in Slovenia, TVET-ACTVET conferences (2018, 2015), and Ellucian Higher Education forums. His contributions to ICT, research, and digital transformation initiatives are further highlighted by his authorship of research papers on topics such as information sharing in construction using cloud technology, predictive models for higher education KPIs, and e-commerce business models. This extensive expertise underscores his impact on ICT and digital transformation both regionally and internationally.
